The Mill is located in a park like setting approximately 1½ miles from campus which means we are outside of the major party areas. We know that students have enough to worry about and their living environment should not be one of them. Our goal is to offer our residents the opportunity to excel at their studies in a peaceful environment. We also have one of the highest ratings at www.apartmentratings.com in the Blacksburg area. We believe that their living experience should be comfortable and easy, that’s why we sweat the details each day and help students find the best balance to live.
Even though we’re off campus, we’re only a bike or a bus ride away. The Blacksburg Transit bus line stops at The Mill every 20 minutes. Virginia Tech students and staff ride for FREE. Our residents will never have to worry about getting to school or anywhere in town. We are also walking distance to shopping, Restaurants, Grocery, Entertainment and Activities.
Our apartments are brick and concrete structures that are insulated for better energy efficiency. We also have double pained windows and energy efficient lighting fixtures. All apartments have A/C and the heat is baseboard so each room can be controlled individually for better control of utilities.
We take pride in great service and our Maintenance Team is amazing. We are very quick to respond to all calls. We want our residents to be happy for their entire stay at The Mill. With 24 hour on call emergency maintenance we can be sure to take care of them even after office hours.
Open Door Policy
The Mill has an open door policy for residents or parents with questions, opinions, concerns, or requests. Our management team is available between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday for anything concerning their living experience at The Mill. Whether they are having trouble with their roommates, the community, the building, or they just want to make a suggestion, our management team is ready to listen.
